Surface-Fit Rational Equations

The Surface-Fit Rational Equations option in the Process menu begins TableCurve 3D's Automated Surface-Fit Processing and fits all of TableCurve 3D's rational equations and any installed UDFs. To assure that all rationals are added to the list, the Keep Per Term Count Per Fn(Z) option in the Surface-Fit Preferences dialog should be set to at least 68 and the Highest Term Count to be Fitted option should be set to 66, the coefficient maximum.

The basic rationals consist of 260 total equations based upon X, ln(X), Y. and ln(Y), 4 of which contain Taylor series numerators and denominators. All rational equations, by their very nature, model X-Y interactions.

Also included are 40 Chebyshev rationals. Regardless of the Keep Per Term Count Per Fn(Z) setting, these models are always added to the equation list.

The total rational set consists of 300 equations.
