Surface-Fit All Equations

The Surface-Fit All Equations option in the Process menu begins TableCurve 3D’s Automated Surface-Fit Processing and fits all of program's equations, including any installed UDFs. This option will fit all linear and non-linear equations, and also any installed UDFs.

This option should be used judiciously, since there are 168 built-in non-linear equations which will be included in the fitting. If the data do not have a peak or transition type profile, the non-linear equations may still be of value in fitting the whole of the data to a small portion of the 3D peak or transition, but such fits will often run a long number of iterations.

Note that this option only fits all equations if the Highest Term Count to Be Fitted item in the Surface-Fit Preferences option is set to the upper limit of 66. If this control is set to a smaller number, those equations with a higher term count are omitted from the fit.

When fitting all equations, TableCurve 3D fits 310 polynomials, 300 rationals, scans 453,696,714 selective Subset equations fitting up to 36,582 of them, fits the 168 built-in non-linear functions, and also fits any installed UDFs.
