Main Statistics

The TableCurve 3D main window consists of a tri-pane with the TableCurve 3D Explorer in the left pane, the main surface graph in the upper right pane, and this statistical or numeric summary in the lower right pane.

The content of the statistics pane will depend on the item currently selected:

Native Data Item

tree6.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics.

View Items

Section Items

tree16.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics for the active points. If any points are excluded, the active point count will be less than the inactive point count.

Calculation Items

tree17.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics for the transformed data. The calculation string(s) are displayed.

Smooth Loess Items

tree9.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics for the smoothed data. The bivariate order and nearest neighbor count are listed.

Smooth NURBS Items

tree12.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics for the smoothed data. The NURBS orders are listed.

Fill Sparse Grid Items

tree11.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics for the interpolated data. The scattered non-parametric algorithm is reported.

Interpolate to Uniform Grid Items

tree7.png The statistics window reports the main, X, Y, and Z titles and basic X,Y,Z data statistics for the interpolated data. The scattered non-parametric algorithm is reported.

Estimate Gridded Data Items

tree8.png The statistics window reports the algorithm, the function or partial derivative rendered, the x and y orders of the spline, and if a least-squares spline, also the x and y knot settings.

Estimate Scattered Data Items

tree10.png The statistics window reports the algorithm, the function or partial derivative rendered, and the adjustable parameters for the specific non-parametric procedure, if any.

Graph Start Surface Fit Items

tree13.png The statistics window reports an abbreviated numeric summary for the specific surface fit. The equation number and expression is followed by the four goodness of fit criteria, and then by a table of parameters, coefficient standard errors, and confidence limits.

List Start Surface Fit Items

tree18.png Annotation Items

The statistics window displays the ASCII text placed into the item via the Add Annotation option. To edit or print the text, click the left mouse button anywhere in the statistics window. An ASCII text editor window will be superimposed over the statistics window.

Note that the contents of the statistics window cannot be copied or printed. Use the XYZ Statistics option for an output of the basic data statistics and the Numeric Summary in the Review for an output of the numeric information.
