Parameters¶
This option is used to write the parameters of the current Curve-Fit equation to an ASCII file. The file is created via the Save Parameters option in the File menu of the Curve-Fit graph. You have an option to append the coefficients to an existing file.
This option is used primarily to write the current equation coefficients, with maximum precision, to an ASCII file. The file can be written with identifiers, and if chosen, each line will be preceded by a string similar to a= followed by a space and then the coefficient. This type of simple ASCII format is identical to the INI format used in Windows applications. You may also choose to add date, time, and file source strings, the three title strings, the equation string, and the four goodness of fit statistics. These files are intended for import by your own programs and by the various math programs. After the file is written, you are presented with a Parameter File display.
