Lotus 123 Export

You may export TableCurve's Curve-Fit to a Lotus WK1 spreadsheet file that can be read by all versions of Lotus, Excel, Quattro, SigmaPlot as well as many other programs. The file is created via the Save Lotus 123 option in the File menu of the Curve-Fit Graph.

Generate/89411.gif A WK1 without graphs is also copied to the clipboard in the Copy Data to Clipboard option.

Structure of Exported WK1

This Lotus file will contain a section with fit parameters and statistics, a section with the original data with predicted values and confidence and prediction limits, and a generated section containing the X values you specify via the Starting X, Increment, and Ending X values. The default values will produce a block of 100 generated points. This generated section will contain the predicted Y value as well as confidence and prediction intervals. The confidence value used will be the value currently set in the Intervals option.

Named Graphs

You may elect to have 8 XY data named graphs and 5 Generated named graphs added to the worksheet. If you wish to have graphs automatically generated for Excel, you should use this option.

Equation Formula

The last column in the WK1 will contain a generated formula representation for the curve-fit equation. You will need to remove the quotation character in this cell and then copy this formula to all cells in the column for which you wish to compute a predicted Y value. The X values for this formula are entered in the preceding column. Note that this generated equation will contain only the native mathematical formula. There will be no conditional statements to manage undefined regions.

No equation formula will be generated for Chebyshev and Fourier Series equations since it is not possible to generate a single-line formula for these models.
