Data Summary¶
The Data Summary is used to display a point-by-point data summary for the current equation with the X and Y value of each data point, the predicted value, the residual and %residual, the confidence limits, and the prediction limits.
The Data Summary is toggled on and off by the Data button in the Curve-Fit Graph window. The window size and position you choose for the Data Summary is automatically saved across sessions. The Data Summary uses the TableCurve Text Viewer to display, modify, and print the information.
Options Menu¶
The Options menu is used to select the display of:
- Residuals
- Confidence Limits
- Prediction Limits
- All Information (Residuals, Confidence Limits, Prediction Limits)
You must select a small font size or landscape mode in order to fully print all three types of information on a standard size page.
The initial confidence level will be the value set in the Confidence Intervals option of the Curve-Fit graph. To change to a different confidence level, select from one of the five confidence level items in the Options menu:
- 90%
- 95%
- 99%
- 99.9%
- 99.99%
Window Type¶
If RTF windows are set in the Preferences, the Data Summary uses RTF windows if there are 128 or fewer data points in the table. For larger table sizes, the Data Summary uses the much faster standard text windows.
