The Edit menu contains options to input or edit data, generate data, copy the data table to the clipboard, modify data titles, set general preferences, and toggle the program's toolbars.

Editing Data

Generate/EDIT1.gif The TableCurve Editor option offers a mini-spreadsheet editor for modifying or viewing the main data table.

The ASCII Editor option offers a simple ASCII editor for modifying and viewing the data table. Note that on Windows 95 and Windows 98 systems, the ASCII Editor has a 64K limit, or approximately 1500-2000 data points. The TableCurve Editor can edit data tables up to the program's 65536 X-Y limit.

Both editors can be used to weight data.

Generating Data

Generate/Edit5.gif The Generate Data option offers a powerful parser and expression compiler for generating user-defined data.

Modifying Basic Titles

Generate/TABLE2.gif The Modify Titles option is used to edit the main, x, and y titles for the data table.

Copying Data Table to Clipboard

The Copy option copies the current data table to the clipboard in both ASCII and binary formats.

General Preferences

The Preferences option is used to set the few preferences that cannot be set from within the various procedures.

Toolbars

The Main Toolbar toggles on and off the general toolbar.

The Process Toolbar toggles on and off the processing procedures toolbar.
