Curve-Fit Graph Format

The Curve-Fit graph can optionally have a Y2 axis. This is set using the Set Y2 Axis Content button in the Curve-Fit Graph's control panel.

Format Options

  • Curve-Fit, Data in Y1
  • Curve-Fit, Data in Y1; Residuals in Y2
  • Curve-Fit, Data in Y1; First Derivative in Y2
  • Curve-Fit, Data in Y1; Second Derivative in Y2
  • Curve-Fit, Data in Y1; First and Second Derivatives in Y2
  • Curve-Fit, Data in Y1; Cumulative Area in Y2

Derivatives and Cumulative Area

The Y2 axis can also optionally contain the first and/or second derivative of the fitted curve, or the cumulative area of the fit equation. The cumulative area always uses the minimum X of the data table as the lower limit of integration, regardless of the graph's minimum X value.

Residuals

To observe a direct correspondence between the fit and the residuals, the residuals can be plotted on the Y2 axis. Since the X axis must be common, only basic, percent, and standardized residual graphs will be available. These buttons will be added to the Curve-Fit graph's toolbar when the Residuals are plotted on the Y2 axis.
