Subtract Imported Reference

This option is used to subtract a reference data set, having matching X values, from the current data set. This is generally used to subtract a baseline or background, or for fitting the difference between two different data sets. The reference can be imported from any of TableCurve 2D's supported file formats.

The reference is subtracted and a TableCurve 2D Graph displays the subtracted data. Click on OK to accept the correction and modify the data table, or click on Undo to restore the original uncorrected data.

If the opposite data set is being subtracted, apply a Y=-Y Calculation to change the sign of the result.

If Background Thread Fitting is active, the fitting will be initiated as soon as the subtraction is made. The fitting will thus be taking place in the background when you are inspecting the result of the modification.
