View and Compare Data

This is TableCurve Studio's family of visualization options for judging many objects by eye at once, instead of switching from one node to the next. Nothing in any of these procedures alters data or adds to the notebook.

It takes two forms, because curves and surfaces cannot be compared the same way. XY data can be stacked in one graph and read as a series, so the 2D comparison fuses every set into a single plot. XYZ data cannot: two surfaces drawn in the same axes would simply hide one another, so the 3D comparison tiles one pane per node instead. Both forms share the same Format, Normalization, Adjustments and Animation controls, and the same wheel and middle-button behavior.

Both forms also extend one level down, to compare the fitted, smoothed or otherwise processed children of a data node -- not only the raw data itself.
